Now we are getting to the meat of the lesson plan. Duty. Duty means actions, not words, responsibility to something larger than one's self, a willingness to sacrifice self-interest, doing what has to be done, respecting core values as absolutes, answering the call when it comes. America has always been a place where the freedom of individuals is held dear. What other country declares the "pursuit of happiness" to be an inalienable right, as stated in our Declaration of Independence?
