The collaboration will be based on Wino's signature 1950s style and will be made up of 17 pieces including skirts and ed hardy shirts. The gear will carry a specially-designed logo.

And it's not just a one-off - the brand has signed Amy up for four seasons.

It's a big commitment for the scatty singer. I'm impressed they got her to sit still long enough to come up with ideas for one collection, never mind planning three more.

The first range will be in her favourite colours of black and pink.

Funnily enough, she was spotted out and about wearing black jeans and a pink top yesterday while stocking up on vitamins and health supplements.

That's one sentence I never thought I'd be writing about Amy. Slowly but surely she really does seem to be cleaning up her act.

The Fred Perry label - named after the British tennis legend cheap ed hardy - is no stranger to working with musicians. They have previously teamed up with rockers PAUL WELLER and DAMON ALBARN.

After looking at the sketches for the collection, I was sceptical about how much graft Amy had actually put in. But Fred Perry's marketing director, Richard Martin, insists she got stuck in.

He said: "We had three major design meetings where she was closely involved in product style selection and the application of fabric, colour and styling details.

"Amy gave crucial input on proportion, colour and fit. The range clearly has Amy's handwriting."
